Visit of the Bishop Emeritus Archbishop Odama
His coming brought blessings
On the 14th September 2024, His grace the Archbishop of the Diocese of Gulu visited Palabek Parish in Lamwo district and in his visit, he was able to visit Palabek refugee settlement particlarly putting Don Bosco as the sole reason why he was visiting the settlement and upon reaching the settlement he was welcomed from Don Bosco VTC by the the student community of Don Bosco and the Christian community of St. Peter and Paul Paluda chapel and later he was led by the director of the Salesian Community Rev. Fr. Uba to the OPM where they had some conversations and after proceeded to Holy Cross.
On his way to Holy Cross he was warmly welcomed by the Brass Band group of Holy Cross from Zerusalem then later on he matched with the rest of the congregation to the Holy Cross that is around 300 M from Zerusalem trading centre
He was in position to animate mass from the Holy Cross and there were both Refugees and the host community in the Mass that he led. His preaching was about “Unity and Love for one another” and he urge the Sudanese community to create peace with one another because the dead body is not edible.
He then came back to St Peter and Paul Paluda chapel for Evening talk where he received many requests from the Christians not only from St Peter and Paul but also from other chapels. He was also given some gift by the Christian community of St Peter and Paul and other chapels within.
