TRAINING AREAS

We provides students with practical and training in modern and sustainable farming practices. The program covers key areas such as crop production, animal husbandry, organic farming, irrigation and water management, agribusiness and entrepreneurship, environmental conservation, and seed preservation. Through hands-on learning, students gain essential skills in food production, farm management, and value addition, while also developing responsibility, creativity, and a deep respect for the environment. The department aims to equip learners with the knowledge and confidence to become self-reliant, innovative farmers who contribute to food security and community development.

Organic Farming

At Don Bosco Palabek, we believe that true farming success lies in harmony with nature. Our Organic Farming program teaches students how to grow healthy crops and raise livestock using natural, sustainable methods that protect the soil, the environment, and human health.

Agribusiness & Entrepreneurship

This empowers students to turn farming into a profitable and sustainable business. It provides practical training in farm management, marketing, value addition, and financial skills, helping young people become innovative and self-reliant Agripreneurs who contribute to community growth and food security.

Environmental Conservation

The Environmental Conservation program at Don Bosco Palabek trains students to protect and sustain the environment through tree planting, soil and water conservation, and climate-smart farming. It promotes awareness, responsibility, and eco-friendly practices to build a greener, more sustainable future.

Demonstration Farm

Our Demonstration Farms, like provide food and learning opportunities to students and community members gain hands-on experience growing crops, managing irrigation, and controlling pests, building practical skills while promoting food security and sustainability.

Animal traction

Animal Traction at Lobur Farm teaches students and community members how to use animals like oxen for plowing and other farm work. This method improves efficiency in land preparation, reduces labor, and introduces learners to practical, sustainable, and cost-effective farming techniques.

Seed Preservation

Students learns how to collect, store, and protect quality seeds for future planting. It promotes the use of local and indigenous seeds, ensuring biodiversity and food security. Through this training, learners gain the knowledge to maintain strong, adaptable crops and support sustainable farming practices in their communities.
