Gender Inclusion For All

Our Project Activities

The Don Bosco Gender Matters Project carries out six main activities that promote gender equality, support learners, and create an inclusive training environment.

Gender Awareness Training

Conducting sessions to promote understanding of gender equality, rights, and mutual respect among trainees.

Promoting Equal Participation in Trades

Encouraging both boys and girls to join all vocational programs without gender barriers like girls joing Male dominated courses.

Mentorship Programs

Providing role models and encouragement to help trainees, especially girls, remain in training and succeed.

Guidance and Counseling Services

Supporting trainees facing challenges like discrimination, early marriage pressure, gender-based violence, and risk of dropout

Community Sensitization

Engaging parents and the community promotes equal education opportunities for boys and girls and supports gender equality.

Leadership Skills Development

Supporting especially female learners in leadership roles builds confidence and equal participation in decision-making.

Words from Our Beneficiaries

Interview feedback and experiences from trainees and community members who have benefited from the Gender Matters Project, and also benefited from Don Bosco VTC Palabek highlighting its impact on their lives and training journey.
