What We Do
we engage in practical crop production to promote food security and learning. We grow staple and nutritious crops such as maize, beans, and vegetables, which support both the school feeding program and the wider community. The farm also serves as a hands-on training center, where students and local farmers learn modern agricultural techniques, soil management, and agribusiness skills. Through these activities, Lobur Farm combines food production with education, empowering young people and the community to work toward self-reliance.
Keeping Poultry
Our Farm provides both food and learning opportunities. Chickens are raised for eggs and meat, supporting nutrition and income generation. At the same time, students and community members gain hands-on experience in poultry management, including feeding, housing, disease control, and small-scale agribusiness. This helps build practical skills while promoting self-sustainability.

Growing Vegetables
Lobur Farm focuses on cultivating healthy crops such as tomatoes, cabbages, onions, and leafy greens. These provide nutritious food for the school and community while serving as a training tool for students. Through hands-on practice, learners gain skills in planting, irrigation, pest control, and sustainable gardening, promoting both healthy diets and self-reliance.

Pig Production
This plays a vital role in providing food, income, and skills training. Pigs are reared for meat and breeding, contributing to improved nutrition and livelihood opportunities. Community members gain practical experience in areas such as feeding, housing, breeding management, and animal health. This skills equips them with valuable knowledge in livestock farming.

Demonstration Farm
Our Demonstration Farms, like St. Daniel and Holy Cross Greenhouses, provide food and learning opportunities. Students and community members gain hands-on experience growing crops, managing irrigation, and controlling pests, building practical skills while promoting food security and sustainability.

Animal traction
Animal Traction at Lobur Farm teaches students and community members how to use animals like oxen for plowing and other farm work. This method improves efficiency in land preparation, reduces labor, and introduces learners to practical, sustainable, and cost-effective farming techniques.

Bee Keeping
Students and community members learn to manage beehives, harvest honey, and care for bees, which supports nutrition and income generation. This hands-on training also teaches environmental stewardship, pollination benefits, and practical skills in small-scale agribusiness. Bee product are majorly sold locally
