Don Bosco VTC Palabek is the 3^rd in Uganda 101^st Don Bosco Training Center in Africa. In the world Salesians of Don Bosco run about 855 training centers. Our center in Palabek Refugee Settlement in Northern end of Uganda is a unique institution among the 28 refugee settlements in the country. It is not only an emergency response to the refugee youth but it also serves a large number of Ugandan youths who also lack similar opportunity. This area was ravaged by the rebels of Lord’s Resistance Army led by Rebel Leader Joseph Kony for over 25 years. Currently we are accredited with 9 courses by DIT which include Welding & Metal fabrication,Tailoring, Electrical, Solar Installation, Carpentry, Motor Vehicle mechanics, Hairdressing, Construction, Agriculture with Computer and Driving as additinal courses that the students can study.
