By His wounds we are healed

Today, the Don Bosco Palabek community joined Christians around the world in commemorating Good Friday, the sacred day that marks the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross.

Staff, trainees, and members of the community prayerfully participated in the Stations of the Cross, reflecting on each stage of Jesus’ journey to Calvary. The observance began with a solemn procession from Paluda Health Centre II toward the Don Bosco VTC church, helping participants to meditate deeply on Christ’s sacrifice for humanity. Through scripture readings, symbolic actions, and moments of silent reflection, everyone was invited to renew their faith and commitment to Christian values.

In the spirit of Saint John Bosco, the community was encouraged to remain hopeful, disciplined, and supportive of one another, especially the young people entrusted to our care. The day reminded us of the importance of sacrifice, forgiveness, love, and service in our daily lives.

On this sacred occasion, all the chapels under the Don Bosco pastoral area gathered together in unity for prayer and reflection. The Christian community was organized into two main groups to participate in the Stations of the Cross. One group included Don Bosco VTC students and staff together with Christians from St. Daniel Comboni, St. Peter and Paul, St. Francis, and other surrounding chapels, beginning their procession from Paluda Health Centre II toward the church. The second group, composed of Christians from Holy Cross, St. Mary’s, Mother Teresa, and nearby chapels, gathered at Holy Cross Chapel for their prayerful observance.

This joint participation strengthened unity among the chapels and allowed the faithful to walk together spiritually in remembrance of the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. It also reflected the strong collaboration between the Don Bosco community and the surrounding Christian faithful in living out the meaning of the day.
